Gmail Gives Up User Information
Each time you open your webmail account and send emails, you rarely think about what happens after you log off. Recent headlines highlight how true this is, especially in the case of Jacob Applebaum, a WikiLeaks volunteer and developer for Tor, whose data was handed up by Google to the US Government without a warrant and without notifying the user. Most alarming is the fact that it wasn't specific emails that were requested, but rather, the government was after the user's contacts list and IP address data. Check out more details here:
